Academic Recognition

Lawrence Memorial / Regis College Nursing Program recognizes students who have excelled academically at three ceremonies: Award Ceremony, Pinning Ceremony, and Graduation.

Honor & Award Ceremonies

Twice a year, an award ceremony is held to recognize students who excel both professionally and academically. Award recipients and their guests are invited to this ceremony, which is also attended by faculty members.

Pinning Ceremony

Pinning ceremonies are held in December and May each year. At this event, each graduate receives the nursing program pin. In addition, awards are presented to students who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement.

Graduation

Graduation ceremonies are held in May each year at Regis College. At this formal commencement exercise each student who has met the graduation requirements of the program during the past academic year receives an associate of science degree from Regis College.

Alumni Association

Alumni of the Nursing Program and its predecessor, the Lawrence Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, have a long history of support and loyalty to the school and their personal and professional achievements have contributed greatly to the school’s outstanding reputation. The alumni newsletter, Update, keeps alumni informed about their school, fellow alumni and current issues in nursing. Periodically, continuing education programs are offered to alumni. In addition, reunions are planned through the school. All graduates are members of the Alumni Association. Associate degree program graduates also enjoy the privileges of Regis College alumni.
